Hulu's 'Looking for Alaska' has fans in tears cheering for Kristine Forseth's character as they bing

The miniseries opens with a tease of the plot twist that arrives in the middle of the book, but fans aware of it, are having a hard time bottling in their tears

The initial fan reactions to Hulu's latest John Green adaptation original 'Looking for Alaska' are finally here and let's just say the show opened to a heartwarming response from the fandom.

The mystery of the eponymous Alaska Young played by Kristine Forseth is finally receiving some closure within the privacy of our homes.

And fans are grateful that there's going to be no more going to the theater and bawling your eyes out like a baby, watching one of Green's fascinating leading lady stories unfold before she fades away into nothingness.

This isn't the first attempt to adapt the novel about a bunch of friends at the fictional school of Culver Creek, as they navigate through friendships, crisis, love, sex, relationships, and loss.

But as fans are changing their plans for the night and staying in to binge through the sad tale of Miles Halter (Charlie Plummer) and his fascination with Alaska, they can't help about how accurate all of it is.

The show opens with a tease of the plot twist that arrives in the middle of the story, but fans who are aware of all that is to know about the plot, are having a hard time bottling in their tears.

One Twitter user shared: "3 minutes into #LookingForAlaska and I'm already crying. Y’all really had to start with the car accident!!!!!! Destroy me."

For other users, the feeling of being overwhelmed has largely to do with Forseth's perfection in bringing Alaska to life.

They shared "Never in my wildest dreams did I expect anyone to capture Alaska's essence as perfectly as Kristine Froseth does. LAF is a book I have read over and over throughout the course of my growing up and seeing it finally come to life with @AlaskaOnHulu is everything. 3 episodes in!!!"

For other fans, it has been about the reawakening of their teenage self being so absorbed in the book that the concept of date and time escaped them.

Crashing with waves of copious nostalgia, one user shared: "I'm watching the first episode of looking for Alaska and I can hear my hs freshman/sophomore year self screaming and crying from the dark depths of my core."

On a more critical note, commenting on the book-to-screen adaptation aspect, one user critiqued: "So far everyone in Looking for Alaska is like who they are in the book, except The Eagle is a lot younger than I expected. I really hope some of my favorite quotes are said too like 'Because no one can catch the motherf**king fox'. Can't wait to continue this show."

'Looking for Alaska' premiered on Friday, October 18, and is available for streaming on Hulu now.
