There is no confirmation from her or her representatives about what has exactly happened. Also, it's not clear yet if someone has hacked her Facebook page. However, the development has worried her fans as one of them asked on Twitter, “IS MIA KHALIFA DEAD?!?!????!” The second one wrote, “Really did @miakhalifa dead?” The third one added: “are u dead or wtf @miakhalifa.”

Khalifa had earlier faced death threats from ISIS over her infamous hijab sex scene. The terrorist organization had claimed to behead her and also hacked her Instagram account and shared jihadi propaganda through it before the page was taken down by the social media company.

In March 2021, she recalled that horrific time during the ‘Call Her Daddy' interview. When host Alexandra Cooper asked, “To have the most isolating feeling, you're alone, you have people sending you death threats and your family at the time not supporting you, how did you get here today? A lot of people wouldn't have been able to get through that”, Khalifa replied: “So, I don't know where I was because that is around the time I started disassociating and just compartmentalising and pretending like things never happened to the point where I didn't talk about porn for the first like three years after, I just went quiet and never spoke about it.”

The 28-year-old went on to say, “Every time I did an interview that was the one thing they were not allowed to ask me about, I refused to acknowledge that I did it and it wasn't until therapy that I realised how detrimental that is,” before adding, “It's that feeling of 'I don't want to talk about it because I don't want to bring attention to it', but I need to talk about it because I need to explain myself because everyone is misinterpreting the whole thing. It's that catch-22 of not wanting to bring it up but needing to bring it up because it's the elephant in the room everywhere you go.”

Khalifa also revealed that though people thought the controversial video made her rich, she actually got no money. She explained, “Because I had two million followers on Instagram, everyone thought I was living it up - and that wasn't the case.” The Lebanese-American webcam model also shared that she had to leave jobs. She stated, “I just realized I feel uncomfortable everywhere I go. I can't be sent out into the field and they have to be careful about who they let in the office because some subcontractors are creepy. I just started to feel like a burden to the person who was taking a chance on me and giving me a job.”
